27 Iguana Coloring Pages

Green iguanas live in the tropical forests of Central and South America and some Caribbean islands, where they spend much of their time high in trees. They are mostly plant eaters, munching leaves, flowers and fruit. A row of spines runs down an iguana's back, a flap of skin called a dewlap hangs under its chin, and a large round scale sits on each cheek. Iguanas also have a small light-sensitive spot on top of the head, sometimes called a third eye. This collection shows iguanas sitting up on a rock, curled up, walking forward, taking a step and looking up, plus side profile and front views. Some pages show an iguana resting in the grass, holding a ball or a pebble, or nibbling a cracker. There is a baby iguana and two cartoon iguanas for the youngest artists. Despite the name green iguana, real iguanas can be green, gray, brown, orange or even bluish, often with darker bands on the tail. Coloring the spines and scales one by one is great detail practice.
