16 Triceratops Coloring Pages

Triceratops lived about 68 to 66 million years ago in what is now western North America, and it was one of the last dinosaurs before the mass extinction. Its name means three-horned face. It had two long horns above its eyes, a short horn on its nose and a big bony frill behind its head. Triceratops was a plant eater with a beak like a parrot and rows of teeth for chewing tough plants. Fossils show it lived alongside Tyrannosaurus rex. This collection makes triceratops friendly. A triceratops balances a ball, holds a big heart, wears a backpack while waving and stays warm in a cozy scarf. A baby triceratops holds a leaf, and there is a classic triceratops plus a baby and two cute versions for young kids. No one knows dinosaur colors for sure, so kids can choose greens, browns, oranges or blues. Patterning the frill with spots or stripes is fun. Ferns and palms complete a prehistoric scene.
