8 Number Coloring Pages

Learning numbers starts with counting real things, like fingers, toes and apples. Preschoolers learn to recognize numerals, match them to amounts and then count in order. The numerals we use, 0 through 9, are called Hindu-Arabic numerals and were developed in India before spreading through the Arab world and into Europe. This collection makes early math fun. There are big single numbers to color, including number 1, one, two, five and ten, plus a page showing numbers 1 to 10. A counting apples page lets kids count and color, and an easy number page is designed for preschoolers. Kids can color each number a different color, decorate it with dots or stripes and then draw that many objects beside it, like five stars or two hearts. Tracing the number with a finger before coloring helps with handwriting. These pages are great for preschool, kindergarten and practice at home.
