16 Space Coloring Pages

Our solar system has eight planets orbiting the Sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Jupiter is so big that all the other planets could fit inside it, and Saturn's rings are made of chunks of ice and rock. In 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first people to walk on the Moon, and today astronauts live and work aboard the International Space Station. This set blasts off into space. A rocket waits on its launch pad, an astronaut waves, and friendly aliens stand tall with antennas. There is a cute astronaut, a cute rocket, a cute UFO and easy pages with one planet or several. Space is fun to color dark blue, purple or black with white star dots. Planets each have real colors: Mars is rusty red, Neptune is deep blue and Jupiter has orange and cream bands. Kids can also invent colorful alien worlds of their own.
Rockets, saucers and a friendly astronaut
Cute Rocket, Spaceship and Easy Planet are the simplest, each with thick outlines and only a few stars around them, which suits ages 3 to 5. Cute UFO has narrower stripes on the saucer rim and an alien inside, and Cute Astronaut adds suit details like a chest panel and gloves. Easy Planets shows Earth with wiggly continent outlines for kids around 4 to 7.
Build a paper solar system mobile
Color Easy Planet and Easy Planets, cut them out and hang them from a coat hanger with string, adding Cute Rocket and Cute UFO so they seem to fly between worlds. Kids can draw extra planets on scrap paper to fill in the rest of the solar system. Talk about which planet has rings and why Earth is mostly blue while they work.
