29 Christmas Coloring Pages

This is the general Christmas mix, a grab bag of the symbols kids spot all December. A candle tucked into holly, a fireplace with a stocking hanging from the mantel, a sleigh loaded with presents, a drummer toy soldier, a hanging bell, a lantern, crossed candy canes with a bow, and a signpost pointing the way to the North Pole all appear here, along with a few softer cartoon pages of Santa, a snowman and a little tree. Because the subjects vary so much, the set works well for an Advent countdown: print one page a day and let kids build a small gallery on the fridge. Classic red and green are always a good start, but gold, silver and icy blue make the bells and lanterns shine. Younger children will do best with the cute character pages and the single ornament, which have wide spaces and thick lines. Kids who like detail can take on the fireplace and sleigh scenes, where there are bricks, ribbons and parcels to color one by one.
